I'm Such A Cynic

So far i really like my sisters new boyfriend. Judging by my first impression he seems really caring, kind, and easy to get along with. You never know though it could just be the "nice guy act" so i guess we'll see in time if who i met yesterday is who he really is. Yeah that's me the cynic. I always say it's so much better to be prepared for the worst then to go in with a blindfold expecting the best. If your prepared for what might happen then it won't hurt nearly as bad in the end. I guess that's always been my moto and so far so good I've made it through some very rough times in my life because i was prepared.

I'm completely obsessed with books. I go to the book store every weekend. I come out with 7,10 and even 15 books sometimes. They really should stop putting my favorite authors on clearance! I barely have any room for anymore books but you betcha ill be there this weekend and when i walk out ill be carrying my little green tote bag filled to the top with books again.

I've seriously been thinking about writing my own book. I have a story locked away in my head that i think would be perfect. I've always had a wild imagination so i honestly think i would be pretty good at it. Before i even think about writing anything i need to get a laptop!!! I could not sit at this computer in this chair for hours at a time. Princess (my little ankle biter) would be throwing fits the entire time. She hates to be alone so if i come upstairs she barks nonstop the entire time I'm up here until i finally get so annoyed i just drop what I'm doing and go back down stairs with her. I know what your probably thinking "Well can't you bring her upstairs with you?" the answer is NO! She doesn't like being up here so she barks up here to. Can't win with the little furball. Well Luanne Rice is calling my name ;) Enjoy this warm weather!

Summer Dreams

Sometimes i would love nothing more to find a little cottage by the beach and pack up and go stay there for the whole summer. I can imagine it sitting on the porch while the ocean rolls in and reading a book in the warm summer breeze while drinking sweet tea with a lemon wedged on the side of the glass. Memories would be made and peace would be my ultimate goal. I guess you can say i have a wild imagination =)

I'll be watching my nieces this summer so that idea is just what it is an idea that cannot happen. I start June 9th and I'm really excited about it. Staying by the ocean would be wonderful but being with my nieces is even more wonderful. I love those little girls with every part of me I've been watching them both since they were babies and were super close.

I'm really happy and proud of my sister. She split up with her husband awhile ago and since then I've just seen her come back to life little by little. Though it hasn't been a picnic of course splitting up is never easy but she's full of life again and glowing that's something i haven't seen in her since she was a teenager. He took the life right out of her so it's great to have my sister back. She met someone new and he sounds amazing. I'll be meeting him this upcoming weekend and i cannot wait! They're getting a place together and starting over again. I am so happy for her i hope all her dreams come true and she can finally have the love and respect she deserves. Well i have so many things to get done today so i better get off here. Enjoy this beautiful weather!

Weekend Mess

Ever felt like there's so much to do and no time to do it in?? Well that's how I'm feeling today. I call it our "Weekend Mess" i don't clean on Friday's and Saturday's since it's the only time i get to spend with my husband and most of the time we are running around all day trying to get things done. Sunday's i always look at the house and sigh because it's always a ever loving wreck. Mail on the counters, dishes in the sink, glasses laying around, and bags from shopping all over the place. Like i said i don't do anything on Friday's and Saturday's.

My husband works so much that i barely get to see him so anytime i have with him i want to spend with him and not running around the house cleaning all day. Well i also have food to cook today because it's the Pens playoff game. Yeah we're gonna smash the New York Rangers! We better!!! I also plan to go outside and take some photos since i haven't since the 17th =X I have these gorgeous tulips beside my porch that are just waiting for me to shoot them.

Well time to get going the game comes on soon i don't have much time!

Book Shopping

Hubby and I went to half price books yesterday =) I found all of these books for only $14! He had to basically pry me away from those book shelves lol I'm such a book nerd! At least now he won't have to stop by the library every so many days to pick me up a book. I think these should last me awhile... but with the way i read who knows =X.

Reading is so peaceful and relaxing it's one of the things i enjoy the most. I have my own little room in our house where i just sit back with a big glass of tea a candle burning and my dog laying on the floor below me and read for hours at a time. I call it my "Zen" room. It's painted a nice shade of blueish gray with white trim and original hardwood floors. I have candles all over the place that smell so sweet when they burn. My own little escape!

Well the house work isn't getting done with me sitting here on this computer... Enjoy this weather! Isn't it lovely?!!

April is FULL of ....."Things To Do"

Have i mentioned how much i love spring? The sweet smell of flowers coming through the windows the bright blue skies and warm air.. Although recently here the air hasn't been all that warm. Not to mention lot's to photograph!

I started a business on my photography website. It's nothing big I'm selling some photoshop actions but so far it's going great! I actually made money off of it so now the test is over i plan to add more to it and get it going. I just haven't had the time to do anything to the site though.

I have a lot of different things happening. My husbands bday is on the 17th, the Pens are in the playoffs, Angela's baby shower is coming up, I have my site to take care of, Gardening work to do, and on top of everything i still have house chores to do everyday and redoing the kitchen cabinets plus bathroom tile removal is still on my list of "Things To Do" =X

Speaking of "House Chores" i better get off of here and get started.. Laundry, floor cleaning, dishes, dinner and more dishes later to do.

Gorgeous Spring Day

It was such a warm gorgeous day today. I went to the store to grab a few things came home put everything away cleaned up and then went for a walk with my sister. I got a lot of nice shots of all the beautiful flowers coming up around here. Sometimes i wonder what my neighbors must think when they see me outside laying on the ground to get a good shot of a small flower or when I'm bent over with my head almost to the ground trying to get the perfect angle... JEEZ i must look totally crazy out there lol.

I'm sneaky to... I sneak into people's yards to get photos of their flowers. So far so good no one has caught me and i don't think they would be mad but who knows right? Some people are like really finicky about things like that.

Tomorrow is game 2 of the playoffs for the Pittsburgh Penguins. We smashed the Senators last game 4-0. Roberts came out with a mission and scored the first goal. Shouldn't doubt scary Gary you just never know with him. Geno had a 3 point night with 2 assists and a goal. He's just awesome!! There is no other way to say it but awesome. Tomorrow should be fun i bet the Sens are just a little annoyed at us.... Can't wait!!!
